If UTSA was playing a team with seven or more losses and already eliminated, I’d think the Roadrunners would bury them.
The Roadrunners need to focus on the Bulls first, but this is an awfully big number. It can’t risk looking ahead to an absolutely titanic battle with Tulane next time out in two weeks, as that game could determine the AAC regular-season title, as well as the potential for a much better bowl. Dual-threat QB Byrum Bowen, from Rolesville N.C., is one of nine quarterbacks in the FBS to lead his team both in rushing and passing yardage, and he is the straw that stirs the drink for USF.įor UTSA, it is one of three AAC teams with an unblemished conference record, and the Roadrunners are hopeful to get back to the conference title game. The Bulls are 2-1 ATS in the past three games, too, winning twice during the span. In fact, USF is a perfect 2-0 against the spread (ATS) this season as a ‘dog, cashing as a 12.5-point underdog at Memphis on November 4 in a 59-50 shootout loss, and it held its own in a 17-3 loss to Alabama back on September 16, easily covering a 34.5-point number.
While winning outright against UTSA is probably not a great bet, so avoid the moneyline, the Bulls have been pretty strong as a double-digit underdog.
The Bulls of South Florida are still in contention for bowl eligibility, sitting at 5-5 with two games to play.
